About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize training events for UAS and AAM related instruction, including flight operations, software, hardware, and applications.
  • Facilitate training through various modalities, including online, in-person, and blended or hybrid formats.
  • Support broader UAS Department activities such as flight testing, outreach, and consulting.
  • Execute non-credit instruction and support the Associate Director for Advanced Air Mobility Training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in UAS or related industries.
  • Current FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Proven UAS flight experience on a variety of small UAS.
  • Strong PC skills, including standard office tools and industry-specific software.
  • Ability to read, research, and comprehend technical and regulatory documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of UAS or AAM Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized training certifications.
  • Training certifications in UAS/AAM related data analytics, modeling, or simulation software.
  • Background in general aviation technologies and operations.
  • Current FAA traditional aircraft Pilot Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain an FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
  • U.S. Citizenship or a valid U.S. Passport.
