Coordinator - Field Construction

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of outsourced construction companies to ensure adherence to safety, quality, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and under budget while maintaining compliance with company standards.
• Review and evaluate scope of work and agreements affecting project execution and functional area operations.
• Proactively resolve problems and coordinate activities with field construction managers.
• Maintain safety awareness and ensure contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Assess the health of utility assets and equipment in relation to the utility inspection program.
• Support emergency storm restoration efforts as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of utility construction practices for electrical distribution lines (overhead and underground).
• Understanding of government regulations including OSHA, NESC, and NEC.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, MS Project).
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Working knowledge of budget preparation and bid administration.
