About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure all firm-wide bills are processed accurately and timely in accordance with Client Billing Guidelines and internal procedures
- Review and audit existing and new matters to ensure compliance with firm requirements using appropriate billing system matter codes
- Coordinate with Conflicts, Terms, Pricing, eBilling, Time, and Collections departments to ensure compliant matter opening
- Support process improvements within Intapp Open and Intapp Time
- Secure communications with billing attorneys and Client Service Coordinators regarding adherence to client requirements
- Respond to billing requests and provide requested billing reports to internal teams and clients
- Support projects to audit and improve Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG) compliance
- Team with Financial Services to support billing updates and upgrade projects
Requirements
- 2+ years of legal billing experience
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- 2+ years of financial systems experience
- Proficiency in Elite accounting systems
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., WorkSite, FileSite, DeskSite)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices
