Coordinator Aquatic Services

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level leadership to Duty Supervisors, Aquatic Operations Team Leaders, and Lifeguard teams to foster a positive culture.
• Ensure the health and safety of all facility users by maintaining compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training, and development of the Lifeguard teams.
• Develop, implement, and review risk assessments, processes, and procedures for aquatic services.
• Manage service contracts related to aquatic and pool operations to ensure legislative compliance.
• Collaborate with Pool Plant Contractors to address equipment issues and facilitate routine or remedial works.
• Lead the delivery of Watch around Water and Swim Safe Programs.
• Investigate safety incidents, undertake corrective actions, and support Pool Safety Audits.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications (degree or diploma level) in aquatic facility management and operations, or equivalent industry experience.
• Pool Operator’s Certificate or demonstrated experience operating public pool plant and equipment.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Current valid Working with Children Check.
• Current driver’s license.
• Demonstrated experience in managing service contracts and collaborating with external stakeholders.
