Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Inspector

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment for first-article, in-process, and final inspections
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso)
• Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and optical comparators
• Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records and customer submissions
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering and production teams
• Support root-cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all safety and quality procedures

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of experience with CMM programming
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• ASME certification
• Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining
• Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
