Cooling Tower Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs of cooling towers
• Install mechanical equipment including motors, fans, gear boxes, and drive shafts
• Read blueprints, sketches, and building plans for material and dimension requirements
• Prepare layouts using rulers, tape measures, framing squares, and calipers
• Shape materials using saws, chisels, and grinders
• Perform piping and nozzle installation and framework erection
• Work at heights while observing 100% tie-off safety protocols
• Follow all safe work procedures and OSHA standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Experience working in an industrial workplace
• Knowledge of safety standards through OSHA training
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Ability to pass a 10-panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship and satisfactory background check

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification
