Cooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning activities for critical cooling systems including CRAC, CRAH, In Row Cooling, and CDUs across L2-L5 stages
• Perform functional, operational, and load testing to verify design specifications and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASHRAE and BREEAM
• Develop detailed commissioning plans, test scripts, and performance benchmarks
• Troubleshoot and resolve cooling system issues during the commissioning process
• Prepare commissioning reports, test data sheets, and as-built documentation
• Act as a product specialist to train engineers and provide technical support via CRM
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and contractors to ensure project completion
• Provide system optimization recommendations and post-commissioning maintenance support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering, or related trade qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in commissioning HVAC or cooling systems, preferably in data centers
• Proven experience with chillers, cooling towers, air distribution, CRAC/CRAH, and CDUs
• Strong understanding of precision cooling, chilled water systems, and DX systems
• Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and HVAC monitoring tools
• Knowledge of ASHRAE and ISO standards
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically for project locations and training

Preferred Qualifications

• ASHRAE CxA (Commissioning Process Management Professional) certification
• HVACR-related certifications
