About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare high quality, nutritious meals according to client scheduling and menu plans
- Maintain clean kitchen and food storage areas
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure food safety and quality
- Delegate tasks and monitor staff performance for kitchen efficiency
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of meals served
- Coordinate kitchen operations and staff scheduling
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety and Safe Food Handling regulations
Requirements
- 3 years of culinary experience in a similar role, preferably high volume
- Extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge
- Accurate knife skills
- Ability to communicate in English, read recipes, and perform basic math
- Valid health card
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary training degree
- Proficiency in a second language
