Cook/Kitchen Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and extensive on-going training for 5 to 12 Inmate Trustees in food service operations
• Oversee kitchen equipment operation and recipe adherence
• Manage food production, preparation, presentation, and plating of food trays
• Supervise meal service and maintain high sanitation standards
• Maintain standing for long periods (approximately 80% of the shift)

Requirements

• Institutional or commercial food service experience
• Ability to pass an extensive background check (felonies are disqualifying)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Access to reliable transportation
• Proficiency in speaking and reading English
• Ability to pass physical and drug screenings

Preferred Qualifications

• Correctional food service experience
• Veteran status
