Cooking Summer Camp Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of cooking camps (AM and PM sessions)
• Manage staff and ensure lessons and activities are implemented appropriately
• Manage materials and ingredients, including purchasing perishables and maintaining stock
• Ensure camper supervision, safety, and management of food allergies
• Handle camper sign-in and sign-out procedures
• Manage parent communication and interactions

Requirements

• Ability to work at least 4 weeks between June 22nd and August 14th
• Availability for Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
• Attendance at Director Training on May 16th and Staff Training on June 6th
• CPR & First Aid certification
• HoCo Crowd Manager Training
• Ability to work at different locations throughout Howard County

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified teacher with at least 2 years of teaching experience
• Solid understanding of basic cooking, baking, and kitchen skills
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with parents
• Strong classroom management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
