About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute hot food production following recipe cards and portioning standards
  • Manage cold batch production including fruit cups, veggie packs, and salads
  • Perform weekly inventory counts and manage ordering based on batch schedules
  • Enforce FEFO (First Expired, First Out) protocols for all food storage
  • Lead and develop Kitchen and Service Assistants through shift briefings
  • Maintain food safety logs, including temperature checks and cleaning schedules
  • Communicate proactively with school administration regarding menu or service updates

Requirements

  • Current Food Handler certification (required)
  • Experience in high-volume kitchen environments (school food service, catering, etc.)
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in both hot line and cold prep
  • High attention to detail regarding recipes, labeling, and food safety
  • Reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
