About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire kitchen and prepare all items served in the cafe according to standards
- Maintain food quality, efficiency, and strict adherence to "First-in-first-out" product rotation
- Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean, orderly, and free of clutter
- Perform inventory, manage food orders, and maintain stockroom and dry storage
- Monitor refrigeration equipment temperature logs and ensure all equipment is properly operated
- Interact with members and guests with excellent customer service and friendliness
- Complete daily and weekly side work, including cleaning dishes and small wares
Requirements
- Current Maricopa County food handler’s card
- Knowledge of State restaurant health codes and regulations
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive physical movements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Must be reliable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous food preparation or professional cooking experience
