About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce menu items for dining, banquets, and conference guests in a high-volume environment
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and general maintenance standards
- Follow recipes, measurements, and portion sizes accurately
- Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and food storage procedures
- Manage inventory control principles and methods
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure customer satisfaction
- Operate independently and exercise good judgment during fluctuating workloads
Requirements
- 2+ years of food preparation and kitchen maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in high-volume food production
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, terminology, and practices
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to understand recipes and carry out duties
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules for food establishments
- Ability to perform basic calculations for measurements and portions
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Must be 18 years of age or older
