About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce menu items for dining, banquets, and conference guests in a high-volume environment
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and general maintenance standards
  • Follow recipes, measurements, and portion sizes accurately
  • Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and food storage procedures
  • Manage inventory control principles and methods
  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Operate independently and exercise good judgment during fluctuating workloads

Requirements

  • 2+ years of food preparation and kitchen maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in high-volume food production
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, terminology, and practices
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to understand recipes and carry out duties
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules for food establishments
  • Ability to perform basic calculations for measurements and portions
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
