About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, transport, and serve scheduled menu items according to recipes and production sheets
- Prepare proteins, vegetables, fruits, and other food items for daily meal production
- Check food for taste, consistency, and presentation before service
- Set up service lines to ensure food freshness and appropriate quantities
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment
- Operate point of sale (POS) system as needed
- Comply with all sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards
Requirements
- 1 year of previous food preparation experience preferred
- ServSafe certification or ability to pass exam after hire
- Ability to gain and maintain VT DLC certification
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs numerous times and up to 50 lbs several times daily
- Ability to push and pull up to 150 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual kitchen tasks
