About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items using standardized recipes and production sheets
- Prepare proteins, vegetables, fruits, and other food items for daily meal production
- Maintain individual cook stations and follow supervisor instructions
- Check food for taste, consistency, and presentation before service
- Set up service lines and manage food quantities to prevent shortages or oversupply
- Clean and sanitize work areas, including counters, floors, and equipment
- Ensure highest standards in sanitary kitchen procedures and food storage
Requirements
- 1 year of previous food preparation experience required
- Must be ServSafe certified or able to pass the exam after hire
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, techniques, and safe food handling
- Ability to lift 10-50 lbs and perform manual tasks in a kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform bending/reaching

- Culinary training through an accredited culinary school or vocational program
