Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, high-quality meals from scratch in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation
• Operate kitchen equipment and tools used in hospitality and healthcare settings
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and hospitality for residents
• Work collaboratively within a culinary team to create memorable dining experiences

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of cooking techniques
• Current sanitation certification
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and interpret instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and residents
• Sensitivity to the needs of older adults
• Availability for weeknight, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Reliable and punctual attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal culinary training
• Prior experience in a high-quality restaurant, country club, hotel, or senior living community
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets and heart-healthy guidelines
• Flexibility in scheduling
