Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items including meats, fish, vegetables, and bakery products following recipes and production guidelines
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards, including monitoring temperatures and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Support daily meal service and catering operations across various campus dining locations
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and checking in deliveries
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to student employees and other food service workers
• Maintain food production records and ensure work areas remain clean and organized

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of food sanitation principles and safe food storage temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer-facing roles
• Ability to judge food quality, color, taste, and texture
