About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily menu items according to recipe specifications under the supervision of the Lead Cook
- Provide daily food preparation and support to cooks and chefs
- Maintain work environment sanitation and cleanliness
- Work a regular schedule of Sunday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Understanding of basic cooking techniques and their application in institutional settings
- Ability to work an academic year-round schedule (August through May)
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in kitchen production
- ServSafe Certification
