Cook II

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen equipment and storage areas
• Follow daily preparation lists to ensure items are ready for service
• Work a food station during service and manage cooking times for timely delivery
• Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and slicers
• Assist with food delivery storage and report equipment or product issues to the Chef
• Ensure accurate portion sizes and presentation to meet quality standards

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques including baking, grilling, and sautéing
• Understanding of food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Proficient communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary school graduate
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification
• Fluency in Spanish
• Experience in guest-facing roles
