Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment adhering to sanitation standards
- Assist with managing kitchen inventory and reporting shortages
- Operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens, grills, and slicers
- Ensure accurate portion sizes and high-quality presentation
- Manage cooking times to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Follow all safety and health regulations regarding food handling and storage
Requirements
- 3 years of food preparation experience
- Proficient in various cooking techniques such as baking, grilling, and sautéing
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work in wet, hot, and humid conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification
- Spanish language proficiency
