Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment adhering to sanitation and food safety standards
• Assist with managing kitchen inventory and reporting shortages or discrepancies
• Operate and train others on kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, slicers, and immersion blenders
• Ensure accurate portion sizes and high-quality presentation of all dishes
• Manage cooking times to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Follow all safety and health regulations regarding food handling and storage

Requirements

• 3 years of food preparation experience
• Proficient knowledge of various cooking techniques (baking, broiling, grilling, sauté, roasting, etc.)
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and adapt to changing tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent training
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification
• Proficiency in Spanish
