Cook Helper/Attendant

Responsibilities

• Keep all food preparation, storage, and serving equipment in sanitary condition
• Maintain clean and orderly storerooms, walk-in refrigerators, and freezers
• Set up dish room and dishwashing machines before meals
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
• Scrape food from dishes and operate dishwashing machinery
• Wash pots, pans, and trays
• Sweep, mop, and wax cafeteria and kitchen floors
• Remove trash and garbage to designated containers
• Set up dining room tables and supply service lines with dishes, silverware, and food
• Prepare and serve food according to pre-planned menus as requested
• Adhere to all safety practices and maintain a respectful environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of related experience preferred
• Experience working with youth
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
