About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and recipes
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Prep ingredients and assemble dishes efficiently and accurately
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas
- Assist with catering, receptions, retreats, and special events
- Maintain inventory and proper food storage practices
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of professional cooking experience
- Excellent meal preparation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a commercial kitchen
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume food service or batch cooking
- Familiarity with catering operations and hospitality services
- Culinary arts or food service training
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification
