About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare consistent, high-quality menu items, including grab-and-go options and the salad bar
  • Operate the cash register as needed
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset the dining area at the end of shifts
  • Safely use knives, utensils, and various kitchen equipment
  • Maintain the highest levels of safety and sanitation standards
  • Accurately maintain required sanitation, production, and equipment records
  • Ensure proper station coverage and assist co-workers as needed
  • Train and work alongside student staff members
  • Work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry items a short distance
  • Proficiency in English (reading and oral communication)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited culinary institute
  • Two years of professional food service experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
