About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare well-balanced meals for children (birth to five years old) following CACFP Meal Pattern Guidelines
  • Maintain safe and sanitary food service practices in accordance with state and local requirements and ServSafe Manager standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and ovens
  • Manage quantity food purchasing and adapt quantity recipes using mathematical skills

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency credential
  • ServSafe Manager certification (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
  • One year of experience in quantity food preparation and state sanitary regulations
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and relate comfortably to income-eligible families
