Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall cooking operations of the dining unit
• Guide and instruct cooks, helpers, grill attendants, and Dining Service Workers in food preparation
• Prepare a variety of food items following standardized procedures and schedules
• Follow standardized recipes and production worksheets accurately

Requirements

• High school or vocational school education (or equivalent)
• One year of varied cooking experience
• Experience in a large volume institutional or restaurant setting
• Ability to obtain/pass the Food Handler’s Certification
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production worksheets

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous line cooking experience
