Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet residents' individual nutrition needs
- Ensure smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service
- Maintain compliance with the Food Control Plan
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver a nutritious experience
- Promote the 'Eating Well' philosophy and internal gold standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe
- Exceptional cooking and baking skills
- Excellent food hygiene practices and commitment to safe working practices
- Current NZ Food Safety Certificate
- New Zealand Certificate in Cookery Level 3 (or willingness to complete)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Empathy towards older adults and good interpersonal skills
