About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the First Cook with meal production and preparation
- Prepare hot side dishes and menu accompaniments
- Ensure food preparation meets quality standards and is properly documented
- Record dinner temperatures in appropriate logs
- Participate in cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and serving areas
- Follow proper food storage and stock rotation practices
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Diploma in Hospitality, Food Service, or equivalent technical training
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Professionalism and a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in workforce accommodation camps in remote areas
- Experience in natural resources or construction sectors
- MAPAQ Food Handler or Food Manager Certification
- Proficiency in both French and English
