Converting Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend high-speed paper machines for functions like rewinding, folding, sawing, and boxing
• Adjust machinery using hand tools to regulate tension, speed, and winding parameters
• Install machine change parts and set perforation blades/anvils according to specifications
• Troubleshoot and perform grade changes on integrated downstream equipment
• Maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts using hand or power tools
• Meet daily production and quality standards, including completing quality checklists
• Complete daily production reports and downtime recording
• Provide training to team members and direct crew members on safe work practices
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following lean initiatives

Requirements

• Previous experience operating equipment such as Perini, Bretting, United, or equivalent machinery
• Ability to run automated high-speed equipment
• Ability to work safely and accident-free
• Proficiency using basic hand and power tools for machine adjustments and repairs
• Ability to meet production standards and complete accurate documentation
• Demonstrated leadership skills
