About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional machining equipment including manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and band saws
- Fabricate and machine components according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations
- Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments to maintain precision and efficiency
- Perform routine in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make corrections to maintain production flow
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and policies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating conventional machining equipment
- Proven experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain standing for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Trade School or machining certification
