Conventional Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional machining equipment including manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and band saws
• Fabricate and machine components according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations
• Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments to maintain precision and efficiency
• Perform routine in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make corrections to maintain production flow
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating conventional machining equipment
• Proven experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain standing for extended periods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Trade School or machining certification
