Conventional Development Miner

Responsibilities

• Advance the face using conventional mining techniques, including bolting, drilling, and blasting
• Participate in underground development using pneumatic machinery such as cavo, muck machines, and winches
• Assist with mechanical installations and maintenance of air, water, and ventilation systems
• Perform pre-operational inspections on manual bolting equipment, Long Tom drills, and pneumatic machinery
• Inspect underground galleries to remove unstable rock and ensure compliance with safety procedures
• Monitor work galleries and constructions to verify compliance with codes and regulations

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in conventional underground development
• Experience in conventional mining using Jackleg/Stopers
• Possession of a mining module (FMTM or MTCU)
• Valid explosives permit
• Valid driver's license
• Commitment to a safe and efficient work environment
