About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting Siemens PLCs and HMIs for mixing/compounding equipment
  • Support troubleshooting of control systems, drives, and instrumentation to reduce downtime
  • Maintain documentation of control programs and wiring diagrams
  • Collaborate with engineers on equipment installations and process improvements
  • Support capital spending projects and the implementation of new equipment
  • Assist with the implementation of Factory Talk and other automation software
  • Support and train maintenance technicians on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other automation packages
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs such as TPOC, Gemba, and 5S

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or a related engineering field
  • 2+ years of experience with control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and industrial networks
  • Demonstrated competency in using basic hand tools, including multimeters
  • Ability to work nights and weekend shifts as needed to support production and maintenance
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience in technology development and implementation processes
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience in the implementation of industrial standards or strategic projects
