About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct, mentor, and scale a team of Controls Technicians and Shift Leads
- Develop and execute data-driven initiatives to minimize equipment downtime and optimize cycle times
- Serve as a strategic partner to Engineering and Operations teams for site projects and equipment commissioning
- Act as the primary point of escalation for critical machine downtime and root-cause analysis
- Design and implement comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) programs using CMMS
- Provide high-level guidance on complex diagnostics involving PLCs, SCADA, and robotics
- Champion a strong safety culture adhering to OSHA, PPE, and LOTO protocols
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in industrial controls, automation engineering, or manufacturing maintenance
- 4+ years of experience in a direct management or senior leadership capacity
- High-level proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience with SCADA interfaces, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial communication protocols
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings
- Advanced experience utilizing and configuring CMMS to track assets and analyze downtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and remain active on the factory floor
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Journeyman Electrician license
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or experience implementing TPM programs
- Advanced Fanuc/ABB robotics programming and integration certifications
- Experience leading facility-wide safety audits or developing EHS protocols
