About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with controls engineers to develop and implement control logic, fail-safe states, and recovery sequences
  • Support engineering project teams in delivering cost-effective automation and manufacturing systems
  • Implement field devices and control architectures aligned with site standards and process requirements
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and contribute to system integration and technical problem-solving
  • Coordinate with external integrators and machine builders to meet project deliverables
  • Participate in system fabrication, testing, documentation, installation, startup, and training
  • Manage assigned project timelines and provide regular progress updates to project leadership

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree with a focus in EE, CS, Mechatronics, or a similar area
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment or controls
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (ladder logic), PID loop tuning, and HMI/GUI development
  • Understanding of electrical design, robotics, electro-mechanical, and motion control systems
  • Experience integrating field devices (flow, motion, temperature, material handling) and safety systems
  • Proven project execution skills, including timeline estimation and system checkout

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
