Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission BAS control systems including DDC panels, sensors, actuators, and VAVs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC controls, networks, and system integration
• Perform point-to-point checkout and system verification
• Modify and update control sequences and graphics as required
• Support project teams with startup and commissioning activities
• Respond to service calls and diagnose system issues in a timely manner
• Work with multiple systems such as Alerton, Siemens, Honeywell, Niagara, and Strato/OCN+
• Coordinate with mechanical contractors, electricians, and other trades on-site
• Maintain accurate documentation including redlines, reports, and service notes
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and site requirements

Requirements

• Bilingual in French and English
• 2-5 years of experience in construction or building controls industry
• Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Control Technologies diploma or 2-5 years of experience in controls/HVAC
• PC and computer literacy
• Valid Driver’s License with a clear abstract
• Ability to obtain government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of building control systems and the construction environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
