Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace faulty electrical and electronic components including relays, switches, motors, servo systems, and PLCs
• Plan, implement, and maintain backup databases for machine programs
• Install and configure HMI systems, including modifying software to add or change layouts and functionality
• Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and update control systems using PLC or CNC systems
• Support IoT and Industry 4.0 connectivity and data collection projects
• Promote a team environment focused on customer satisfaction and support the development of team members

Requirements

• AS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 7+ years of proficiency in programming logic controllers (PLC) such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Rexroth
• Experience configuring and designing HMI systems
• Strong working knowledge of troubleshooting control system issues
• High level of teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vision System programming (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
• Experience with Robot programming
