About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers
  • Conduct first-line diagnostics and maintenance of instrumentation, including AHU controllers, VFDs, and various sensors
  • Execute network configurations and communication testing between third-party devices and servers
  • Configure and calibrate sensors and perform system-level testing support
  • Supervise low voltage electrical contractors during wiring and installation
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings
  • Provide red-lined drawings and assist in root cause analysis during commissioning
  • Ensure all on-site personnel adhere to proper safety methodologies
  • Work on-call and on a rotating schedule to respond to after-hours emergencies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet ITAR Compliance
  • 1+ years of relevant industrial or HVAC controls experience (or an Associate’s degree/trade certification in a related technical field)
  • Basic understanding of industrial control systems, including meters, sensors, and relays
  • Experience with low voltage controls, wiring, networking signals, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, differing work rotations, and overtime as required
  • Physical ability to walk jobsites in uneven terrain, work at heights, and lift up to 49 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • International Society of Automation (ISA) Certified Controls System Technician (CCST) Level I or higher
  • Experience with communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, or MODBUS
  • 5+ years of experience in controls, automation, or construction within a technical environment
  • Experience in data centers or mission-critical environments
  • Fundamental knowledge of network design and low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling
  • 4+ years of Military Service
