Controls Systems Technician 2

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using specialized configuration and commissioning tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
• Respond to warranty calls and provide high-level service to resolve building inefficiencies
• Load system-level controller software and perform diagnostics from controllers to end devices
• Calibrate systems using electronic test equipment
• Document changes, complete commissioning documentation, and provide information for as-built records
• Maintain administrative tasks including timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
• Provide recommendations and quotes to customers to improve facility efficiency

Requirements

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field
• Or at least 2 years of industry experience servicing electronic or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management systems
• Proficiency with PCs and the ability to program HVAC-related software
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to represent the company professionally and support site mechanics
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
