About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of complex building automation and HVAC control systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions using electronic or digital controls knowledge.
  • Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
  • Install and modify software and graphics to optimize system performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical solutions and training on system operations.
  • Mentor control, service, and mechanical technicians on building automation activities.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of building control systems, including creating flow diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site interface and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (including buildings and chiller plants).
  • Vocational School graduate or Associate's degree in a technical field, or two years of experience servicing electronic/mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC-related equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
  • Effective communication and writing skills to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in understanding programs and software applications.
