About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of complex building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions using electronic or digital controls knowledge.
- Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
- Install and modify software and graphics to optimize system performance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical solutions and training on system operations.
- Mentor control, service, and mechanical technicians on building automation activities.
- Assist in the design and configuration of building control systems, including creating flow diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site interface and effective communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (including buildings and chiller plants).
- Vocational School graduate or Associate's degree in a technical field, or two years of experience servicing electronic/mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC-related equipment.
- Strong knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Effective communication and writing skills to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in understanding programs and software applications.
