Controls Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of multiple projects within the Controls Engineering organization, managing workloads and project timelines.
• Direct the installation of control systems for industrial equipment, including equipment purchasing, cost management, and delivery.
• Develop, implement, and test equipment software, including PLC ladder logic, ABB software, Fanuc software, and other custom manufacturing software.
• Supervise a team of Automation Control Technicians to maintain machine uptime through troubleshooting and continuous improvements.
• Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (such as 5-Why) to repair manufacturing equipment and develop technical documentation for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job training to team members.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisor or leadership role.
• Proven experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in control system design, specifically with Allen Bradley (Siemens experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of vision systems, ABB robotics, and Fanuc robotics.
