About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production line automation operates efficiently and troubleshoot equipment using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Implement process improvements and enhance data collection and processing capabilities
  • Support existing and incoming automated equipment from a controls programming perspective
  • Generate and maintain Ignition dashboards
  • Coordinate multiple manufacturing and automation projects, including planning sequences of operations and creating schedules
  • Investigate and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including facility layout decisions
  • Provide technical support for operations and analyze statistical data to support manufacturing decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, or quality environment
  • Experience in automation and robotic applications
  • PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk)
  • Knowledge of Fanuc Equipment, Robots, and Roboguide programming
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and 3D models
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 6s)
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • Experience with SCADA programming using Ignition
  • Experience creating reports and performing data analysis in Python and SQL
  • Six-sigma green belt certification
  • Experience with process management, statistical process control, FMEA, and root cause analysis
