Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, develop, and design electrical controls and electromechanical systems for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in electrical and process troubleshooting and repair to support manufacturing department needs.
• Drive continuous improvement plans through enhanced control systems and mechanical improvements.
• Coordinate activities involved in the fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of control systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including engineering revisions, schematics, and written technical material.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
• 1-3 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for industrial PLCs.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with PID controls and P&ID diagrams.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Draft Sight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Siemens systems.
• Experience with robotic programming.
• Understanding of networking communications and OT network security protocols, including managed switch configurations.
