Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new processes, systems, and equipment to increase productivity and reduce costs
• Support the implementation of industrial control systems, including PLC hardware, network architecture, and control panel design
• Collaborate with internal teams and system integrators to develop and modify PLC and HMI logic (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, and ProLeiT)
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment, production, and facility issues
• Manage engineering projects including scope development, vendor management, contract creation, and capital procurement
• Conduct research and data analysis to support engineering projects and monitor performance against project plans
• Ensure all engineering solutions meet safety targets and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7+ years of experience in the field or equivalent
• Proven experience in brewing or food and beverage engineering practices
• Expertise in delivering engineering projects, including P&ID development and factory acceptance testing
• Strong project and financial management skills, including managing contractors, budgets, and timelines
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
• Ability to design mechanical systems with a strong working knowledge of process and electrical engineering
