Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop, and implement automation system projects for tooling, controls, and equipment to meet cost and time targets
• Implement process or control changes to reduce costs, improve quality, and expand manufacturing capabilities
• Participate in equipment and automation design reviews from a systems design perspective
• Support standardization initiatives by specifying and purchasing controls equipment and components
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and maintenance personnel to solve complex advanced manufacturing problems
• Apply electronic machine controls, data acquisition hardware/software, and advanced manufacturing programming using PLCs
• Ensure compliance with all site, corporate, regulatory, and procedural safety, quality, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of related controls experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with PLCs
• Experience with Robotics (Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens)
• Experience with Visual Display systems (HMI/Client Devices)
