About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HMI, MES, and SCADA systems using the Ignition platform, SQL, Python, and JavaScript
- Implement and integrate assembly equipment with statistical process control (SPC) capabilities
- Create, modify, and maintain programs for machines, robotics, and automated systems
- Perform troubleshooting for process equipment hardware and controllers such as PLCs and HMIs
- Analyze automation equipment failures and propose permanent solutions
- Lead Statement of Work (SOW) and User Requirements Specification (URS) documentation
- Create electrical schematics and engineering support documents for new or existing equipment
- Coordinate with suppliers to support maintenance, new equipment integration, and automation standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of experience in automation and robotics
- Strong understanding of machine motion and terminology
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze electrical schematics
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HMI and SCADA programming
- Allen Bradley PLC programming experience
- Experience with Fanuc, Universal Robot, or Epson robotics
- Experience with Asyril feeder systems
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
