Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for automated machinery, including electrical drawings and control specifications
• Program and optimize control systems using Allen Bradley PLC platforms
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support to maintenance associates to resolve equipment malfunctions
• Lead capital projects from concept to completion, managing outside vendors and overseeing equipment installation
• Identify and implement lean opportunities to improve equipment operating efficiency and ergonomics
• Implement changes to equipment controls to enhance reliability and ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Controls Engineering experience
• Proven experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Expertise in Rockwell Automation software and Allen Bradley PLC systems
• Hands-on experience with Fanuc Robotics
• Ability to draft and interpret electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• Experience working for an equipment builder or integrator
