About the role

About the Company

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive-scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them with teams spanning hardware and software to expand human freedom through AI.

Responsibilities

  • Create template controls designs for fully modular data center builds to ensure repeatable deployment.
  • Write sequences of operations (SOO) for mechanical and electrical systems to serve as the source of truth for programming teams.
  • Build standard points lists and bills of materials (BOM) for instrumentation, IO, and controls hardware.
  • Own the Division 25 integrated automation specification end to end.
  • Coordinate controls design across mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment with equipment and testing requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience producing controls design packages, drawings, points lists, or specifications.
  • Proven ability to write sequences of operations for mechanical or electrical systems implemented in real controllers.
  • Experience authoring or owning Division 25 integrated automation specifications.
  • Ability to build standard points lists and BOMs for modular builds.
  • Expertise in designing for repeatability and template-based engineering.
  • Strong coordination skills to identify gaps between mechanical, electrical, and controls scopes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data center mechanical and electrical systems (chiller plants, CRAH/CRAC, fan wall units, switchgear).
  • Experience with modular or productized build delivery.
  • Proficiency with BMS and SCADA platforms over BACnet and Modbus.
  • Knowledge of CSI MasterFormat and Division 25 spec writing.
  • Experience with points list and IO schedule tooling.
