About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the process flow between secured upstream data and high-speed production printing equipment
  • Design, implement, and maintain print management platforms to optimize workflows and resolve connectivity issues
  • Maintain industrial-scale printing and mail insertion equipment through mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Research technology trends to identify improvements in production workflows and downtime reduction
  • Use SNMP-based tools and logs to monitor device health, performance, and alerts
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and OEM vendors to design and validate end-to-end print solutions
  • Analyze production performance data and failure rates to improve preventative maintenance strategies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or administration integrating enterprise networks with production systems
  • 3+ years of experience working with digital print devices (e.g., HP, Canon, Xerox, Ricoh) in a commercial setting
  • Experience with print management platforms (e.g., PaperCut, UniFlow, PrinterLogic) and Raster Image Processors (RIPs)
  • Proficiency with core networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration
  • Comprehensive understanding of PCI/PII compliance and data security
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for troubleshooting industry-scale production machinery
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting complex production hardware like IP5000 or HP roll-to-roll printers
  • Experience with secure printing implementations in regulated environments such as financial services or healthcare
  • Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell or Python to streamline administration tasks
