About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to procure, install, commission, and optimize equipment and process control systems.
  • Support reagent manufacturing, material handling, and molecular diagnostic testing through hardware and software control system improvements.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, system setup, adjustment, and integration of new equipment.
  • Lead projects to improve systems such as environmental monitoring and automated batch production in cGMP and CAP/CLIA environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, design specifications, and commissioning protocols.
  • Participate in investigations and troubleshooting related to control systems, manufacturing processes, CAPA, audits, or complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a controls engineer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AVEVA InTouch and System Platform.
  • 5+ years of experience as a controls engineer in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a cGMP/ISO 13485 compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing and executing projects of various sizes and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Operational knowledge of industrial networking and experience with Rockwell Automation systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD.
