About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation solutions by designing control systems and creating project documentation and drawings
  • Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMIs (e.g., FactoryTalk, Ignition, Cimplicity, Wonderware)
  • Interface with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project success
  • Manage project deliverables to meet agreed budget, schedule, and scope
  • Support site installation, checkout, and start-up of automated manufacturing processes
  • Communicate plan progress and technical updates to project stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a controls engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment (e.g., food, beverage, or consumer health)
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA programming
  • Understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A)
  • Solid understanding of engineering documentation, including P&IDs and process flow diagrams
  • Experience with field instrumentation, control system installation, and configuration
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a similar technical field
  • Familiarity with machine safety applications and electrical power distribution
